| Dear Pastor
Do you remeber what if
felt like when you first realized you were being called into full-time
Christian ministry? Do you remember the urgency with which you had
to find some way to fulfill your calling?
Do you remeber the first church you were
called to? You knew with all your heart that you were the right
person to fill the position, but how would you convince that first
congregation? They didn't know you. You weren't famous; you weren't
Billy Graham's son. You had to trust God that they would recognize
His call on your life and entrust you with their pulpit on a permanent
basis. Not only that, but you had to trust that they would pay you
a salary that would meet your family's needs. It probably seemed
like too much to expect, but God delivered.
I'm at that same crossroads wearing the
same shoes you were. I'm not called to preach, but the calling is
just as legitamite. I am called to a ministry of music evangelism.
I realize that you don't know me. I'm not famous; I'm not Bill Gaither's
daugther. I just have to trust God that you will recognize His call
on my life and allow me to do what He has entrusted to me.
Sincerely,
Claudia Marie
